Pet Cremation Services
We offer both private and communal cremation services through a licensed and trustworthy crematory.
Private Cremation
With individual cremation, you have the option to have your pet’s cremated remains returned to you. The crematory follows strict protocols to lovingly ensure that your pet’s ashes are returned to you alone, without any intermixing.
- Your pet’s cremated remains are placed in your choice of four beautiful urns, boxes, or a scattering tube. Each option includes a velvet bag, a personalized nameplate, and a certificate of cremation.
- Ashes will be ready within 10–14 business days. You may choose to have the ashes delivered to your regular veterinarian’s office (with their permission), mailed to your home via USPS with a tracking number and signature required (a $35 shipping fee applies), or picked up directly from the crematory.
- Pets up to 30lbs: $360
- Pets 31-99 lbs: $400
- Pets 100-149lbs: $440
- Pets 150-200lbs: $480
Communal Cremation
In a communal cremation, pets are respectfully cremated alongside others, with the option to create a lasting tribute to their memory. You may choose to have your pet’s ashes built into an artificial reef, becoming part of a vibrant, living memorial placed on the ocean floor. When families dedicate their beloved pet’s remains to the sea, they contribute to the growth of coral and marine life, helping to enhance and sustain the ocean’s delicate ecosystem.
Group Cremation Fees
- Pets up to 30lbs: $250
- Pets 31-99 lbs: $280
- Pets 100-149lbs: $340
- Pets 150-200lbs: $380
Home Burial
Choosing to bury your pet at home can be a meaningful way to honor their memory (please check your city’s regulations regarding home burial). While you’ll be responsible for the burial preparations, we’re here to offer guidance to ensure a proper and respectful burial. If your pet passes away at home without the assistance of our euthanasia service, Love & Dignity can still support you with aftercare options, including private or group cremation. For thoughtful at-home burial tips provided by Euthabag®, please click here or see our page on home burials.
Telehospice Advice
Our TeleAdvice service, led by Dr. Heba, offers compassionate and expert guidance to help you assess your pet’s quality of life and determine the appropriate time for euthanasia. Each 30-minute session is $125. We’re here to provide support through Telehospice consultations, though it’s important to note that virtual visits have limitations; without an in-person exam or diagnostics, we are unable to diagnose or prescribe medications. If you are just starting your pet’s end-of-life journey, we recommend visiting your primary veterinarian first to ensure the best possible quality of life for your pet. At this time, we are not accepting new in-home hospice appointments. Thank you for understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions
After you euthanize my pet at my home, can you take them with you?
Yes, I can take your beloved pet’s remains with me after euthanasia, but only for cremation. Your pet can be cremated privately, where the ashes are returned to you, or in a group cremation, where ashes are not returned.
Is it the right time?
Deciding when to say goodbye to a cherished pet is difficult for any pet parent. We often want to hold on as long as possible, but waiting until the very last moment can lead to unnecessary suffering and discomfort for your pet, potentially resulting in an emergency. Additionally, scheduling at short notice may limit availability. The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center’s Quality of Life Checklist is a helpful tool to guide your decision.
Do you place a catheter?
No, to keep our in-home visits comfortable and stress-free, we do not place an IV catheter. Catheter placement often requires restraining the pet and can be uncomfortable and stressful, as it’s typically done before sedation. Instead, we use a gentle sedative injection, similar to a simple vaccination, to minimize any stress or discomfort.
Does the doctor come alone?
Yes, the doctor arrives alone to ensure privacy and a calm environment for your family.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that this is a deeply emotional time, and sometimes plans may change unexpectedly. We strive to accommodate every family’s needs while also ensuring that we can be available for others who require our care.
We allow up to total of two (2) cancellations or reschedules with at least 2 hours’ notice before your appointment, with no penalty.
If a cancellation or reschedule is requested less than 2 hours before the appointment, the $235 deposit fee will be forfeited to help cover the time reserved for your pet.If our doctor arrives at your home and you choose to cancel or are unable to proceed, or if we are unable to reach you at the time of the appointment, a $470 cancellation fee will apply.
Do we need to schedule an appointment?
Yes, appointments are scheduled daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Same-day appointments may be available depending on our schedule, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please call 215-518-9830 to schedule. Leave us a message, and we will return your call as soon as possible.
What is the best way to contact you?
I am committed to giving each client and pet my full attention, and to being present in each visit. To provide you with the same level of attentive service, please contact me by calling 215-518-9830 to check availability. Leave a message, and we will return your call. Emails may take up to 24 business hours for a response.
How much notice do you need?
The more notice, the better, but we understand that timing can be unpredictable. We’ll do our best to accommodate short-notice or same-day appointments whenever possible.
How long will the service take?
Appointments typically last 30-45 minutes to allow for a calm and unhurried experience. If you prefer a shorter or longer service, we can accommodate based on your needs. Additional time may incur an extra fee if arranged in advance.
What can I do to prepare for the appointment?
Feel free to offer your pet food, water, and any usual medications before the appointment. A bathroom break for your pet before our arrival is recommended, if possible. You may wish to prepare payment in advance to focus fully on your pet during the appointment. We’ll bring everything necessary, so please focus on spending loving time with your pet.
My pet passed at home; what do I do?
If considering home burial, please check local regulations to ensure compliance. We can also provide helpful tips for a respectful burial.
If you need assistance, we recommend, Treasured Friend, who can come to your home to pick up your pet within a few hours and handle the cremation. Both Love & Dignity and Treasured Friend prioritize the humane and respectful care of your pet’s remains, whether through individual or group cremation.
