Pet Cremation Services

PRIVATE CREMATION: Your Pet is cremated privately at a licensed & trusted crematory.

Individual cremation provides you with the opportunity to keep your pet’s cremated remains close. When the cremation process is complete, the crematory ensures that you receive only the cremated remains of your pet. We only use trusted, licensed, and accredited crematories that we trust with our own pets.

Your pet’s cremated remains will be returned in your selected urn of 4 beautiful urns/box or scattering tube selection, the pet’s cremains are held in a velvet bag and name plate along with a certificate of cremation.

Ashes will be returned within 10-14 business days, the crematory will either hand deliver to your regular veterinarian’s office (with their permission) or you can have it mail delivered to your home address, USPS signature required mail and tracking number provided ($35 additional for shipping) and there is always the option of picking up directly from the crematory.

Telehospice Advice

A TeleAdvice Appointment with Dr. Heba facilitate in-depth conversations using a phone call to help you better understand the quality of your pet’s life, & to understand more about when is the right time to consider euthanasia for your pet. Our TeleAdvice Appointments last 30 minutes. $125.

While we are happy to schedule a Telehospice consultation with you, there are limitations that prevent a thorough physical exam, diagnostics, and thus prescribing abilities, so if you are at the beginning of your pet’s end of life journey, a visit to your primary veterinarian may be recommended to be sure your pet has the best quality of life possible. In the meantime, we are not accepting new in- home hospice appointments.

In-Home Pet Hospice Consultation

In-home hospice appointments are on hold until further notice.

FAQs

After you euthanize my pet at home, can you just take it with you?

The only proper and humane way that we can take care of your beloved pet’s remains after euthanasia is cremation. If you want me to take care of your beloved pet after it passes, I MUST cremate your pet either privately or in a group.

Is it the right time?

Pet parents almost always struggle to try to decide whether it is the right time to say their farewell to their beloved pet; we always want to hold on to them as long as we can. In most cases, though, it is not in your pet’s best interest to wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment. This may lead your pet into unnecessary discomfort/struggles and sometimes ending in an emergency. In addition, it may be difficult for us to be available for your pet on short notice.

Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center Quality of Life Checklist

Do you place a catheter?
No, As I am trying to avoid any medical feel at a clinic in my home visits, I think placing an IV Catheter is uncomfortable to the patient (just like it is to humans), and the patient must be restrained to ensure he/she are staying still for placement. Catheters are usually placed before any sedation, which means the pet can feel the discomfort of having a catheter placed. A sedative injection (like vaccinations) is preferred over placing an IV Catheter.
Does the doctor come alone?
Yes, to ensure privacy to families we help, the doctor arrives alone.
What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel the appointment and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 2 hours prior to the appointment time; otherwise, a charge of $220 will be applied.

Last-minute cancellations prevent us from helping another pet & family in need who may be on our waiting list, so please be mindful of pets in need of this service.

Do we need to schedule an appointment?
Yes, we schedule appointments 9 am-5 pm each day, same-day appointments are possible depending on availability but can not be promised.
How do I schedule an appointment with you?

Please, call 215-518-9830 for scheduling purposes, leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

How would you like to be contacted?

I am honored to spend time with my clients and really stay in the present, I want to be able to offer you that same level of service, so please contact me by CALLING 215-518-9830 to check availability. Emails may take up to 24 business hours to receive a response.

How much notice do you need?

The more notice you can give me, the better. I also understand that your pet’s circumstances may be difficult to predict so I will do my best to accommodate short notice / same-day appointments as much as my schedule allows.

How long will the service take?

I found that most of my appointments will average 30-45 minutes, without the feeling of being rushed. If you prefer a shorter service time, this can be achieved too. If you need more time, I can make arrangements to be there as long as you require when arranged and an extra fee for the additional time may be applicable.

What can I do to prepare for the appointment?

Your pet is welcome to have food, water, and medications as per normal prior to my arrival.

If possible, it may be helpful to take your pet for a bathroom break before my arrival.

You may wish to prepare payment so that you do not need to worry about that at the time of the appointment.

Finally, I will be prepared with everything we may need during the appointment, so please focus on loving your pet.

My pet passed at home, what do I do?

Before you go ahead and decide to bury your pet in your backyard at home, please check your city ordinance for restrictions. Please let us know to provide you with useful burial tips.

We are available to help & we also recommend Treasured Friend. If your pet passed at home and you don’t know what to do, they are able to come to your home to pick up your pet, usually within a few hours, and handle the cremation for you.

Love and Dignity & Treasured Friend are concerned with the safe, humane, and respectful disposition of your pet after it passes. The only way that we can ensure the humane disposition of your pet after it passes the euthanasia treatment or natural death is cremation. If you want us to take your pet’s body with us, we must cremate your pet either individually (ashes returned) or in a group of other pets (no ashes returned).

For more information on Treasured Friend, please visit their website.
