Our At Home Pet Euthanasia service provides a gentle, unhurried goodbye in the comfort of your home.

The fee includes:

  • Initial consultation with our veterinarian
  • Gentle sedation/anesthesia followed by peaceful euthanasia
  • Time for your family to say goodbye
  • One complimentary keepsake paw print and fur clipping, if desired

Additional Charges That May Apply

  • After-hours appointments (before 9 AM or after 5 PM): +$100 (when available)
  • Holiday appointments: $50–$100, depending on the holiday
  • Same-day appointments: +$100 (subject to availability)
  • Extended travel (beyond 20 miles): Additional fees may apply
  • All weekend appointments are an additional $100
  • Aggressive or highly anxious pets: Handling surcharge, as needed
  • Emergency visits (urgent, same-day): +$100–$150

To ensure a safe and calm experience for everyone, please be aware that our doctor practices alone. For the safety of all, we ask that a family member be available to assist with lifting pets over 30 lbs.

We understand that providing this assistance may be difficult for some. If needed, we can schedule a dedicated assistant from our crematory service for an additional $150.

Although we are not an emergency clinic, we may be able to accommodate urgent cases on a limited basis. Please be aware that a short-notice fee of $100-200 will apply for these visits.

    Pet Cremation & Aftercare Pricing

We partner with a licensed crematory to provide respectful, transparent aftercare. You may also read more on our Pet Cremation & Aftercare page.

    Private Cremation

Your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes are returned to you. Families may select from four urn or box options, each including:

    • A velvet bag
    • Personalized nameplate
    • Certificate of cremation

Ashes are available within 10–14 business days.

    Delivery options:

Pickup at the crematory, mailed to your home via USPS with signature (+$35 shipping), or delivered to your regular veterinarian’s office (with permission).

    Fees by pet weight:

    • Up to 30 lbs: $360
    • 31–99 lbs: $400
    • 100–149 lbs: $440
    • 150–200 lbs: $480

    Communal Cremation

Pets are cremated respectfully with others. Ashes are not returned, but you may opt for memorial tributes such as an artificial reef placement to help sustain marine life.

    Fees by pet weight:

    • Up to 30 lbs: $250
    • 31–99 lbs: $280
    • 100–149 lbs: $340
    • 150–200 lbs: $380

    Home Burial

If local regulations permit, families may bury their pet at home. Love & Dignity can advise on preparation or provide transport for cremation if home burial isn’t possible. However, we highly recommend that pets that are euthanized to be cremated due to the medication used during the process.

    • Cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice: $235 deposit forfeited.
