Love &  Dignity Services & Fees

Personalized & Compassionate End-Of-Life Care For Your Pets

Services

We offer professional in-home pet euthanasia and hospice consultation service for cats, dogs, and rabbits, serving Montgomery County, Bucks County, and surrounding areas in Pennsylvania. We also provide compassionate aftercare services, such as transporting your pet to an accredited pet crematorium at your request and handling all aftercare needs.

In-Home Pet Euthanasia

When the time arrives, your pet deserves to spend their last moments in the comfort of their home with you, their family. In-home pet euthanasia is a peaceful process during which your pet is very comfortable. We provide you with a loving keepsake like a paw print and a lock of fur if desired.

Afterward, you may decide to bury your pet, or we can have them privately cremated at an accredited crematorium and have the ashes returned to the family. You may also choose to have your pet communally cremated in a respectful manner, where the ashes are not returned. Whatever you decide, we’re here to help respect your wishes.

In-Home Pet Hospice Consultation

Pet hospice treatment offers relief to suffering pets, alleviating pain and managing symptoms of their illness or declining health. An in-home pet hospice consultation helps you better understand the nature of your pet’s disease and the expected course of their health. We will work with you to create a plan that allows your pet to be in the most painless and comfortable state possible while lessening the stress on your family. You’ll learn about what your pet is going through as well as any treatment that can help their remaining time be more comfortable. Pet hospice is also a way to help your family enjoy quality time with your beloved pet and to take time in saying goodbye.

Pet Cremation Services

PRIVATE CREMATION: Your pet is cremated privately at a licensed and accredited crematory. Ashes will be returned within 7-10 business days either to your regular veterinarian for pick up (with their permission) or via USPS signature confirmation required mail and a tracking number provided.

COMMUNAL CREMATION: Pets are cremated with other pets. You will not get ashes back, and ashes are buried together by the crematory.

HOME BURIAL: You may decide to bury your pet at your home (see your city regulations and the legality of home burial). You will be responsible for burial preparations, but we can provide you with useful tips for proper burial. If your pet passes at home without the euthanasia service, Love & Dignity can still help handle the aftercare of your beloved pet’s body with either a private or group cremation.

FAQs

My pet passed at home, what do I do?

Before you go ahead and decide to bury your pet in your backyard at home, please check your city ordinance for restrictions. Please let us know to provide you with useful burial tips.

We are available to help & we also recommend Pet Angel Cremation Services. If your pet passed at home and you don’t know what to do, they are able to come to your home to pick up your pet, usually within a few hours, and handle the cremation for you.

If you choose private cremation, they will also hand-deliver your pet once ready to come home.

Please note that Love & Dignity and Pet Angel Cremation Services does not have any other way to dispose of your pet in a humane and loving way after they have passed, other than Cremation, and will be charged accordingly.

Is it the right time?
Pet parents almost always struggle to try to decide whether it is the right time to say their farewell to their beloved pet; we always want to hold on to them as long as we can. In most cases, though, it is not in your pet’s best interest to wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment. This may lead your pet into unnecessary discomfort/struggles and sometimes ending in an emergency. In addition, it may be difficult for us to be available for your pet on short notice.
Do you place a catheter?
No, As I am trying to avoid any medical feel at a clinic in my home visits, I think placing an IV Catheter is uncomfortable to the patient (just like it is to humans), and the patient must be restrained to ensure he/she are staying still for placement. Catheters are usually placed before any sedation, which means the pet can feel the discomfort of having a catheter placed. A sedative injection (like vaccinations) is preferred over placing an IV Catheter.
Does the doctor come alone?
Yes, to ensure privacy to families we help, the doctor arrives alone.
